So where have I been? On 3- yes 3- separate vacations, that's where! All 3 were planned by others and happen to fall one right after the other. My house is a mess and I'm buried in things to do that I've gotten behind in, but we had fun, so it's all good.
Our first destination was Sarasota, Florida. 6 days of
sunny beaches,
and nothing pressing to do.
Throw in 2 episodes of stomach flu for my dad and my husband and a visit to the walk-in clinic for 3 of my sons with sinus infections and there you have it. (Oh, NOTHING is ever perfect!)
But, of all the things, nothing entertained me more than my oldest, who decided to be buried up to his neck in sand. And so I share...

That video was awesome! Looks like the water had been up past him. Did it ever hit him while buried? Who was his accomplis? Someone had to help bury his arms.
Sorry I haven't worked on my blog. I PROMISE I will update it soon. I have some fun picts to put on it.
I am SOOOO glad to have you home. I've missed ya!
Glad that the oldest isn't dead after that little ordeal!
You look ridiculously good in a swimsuit. And you're two kids past me!

The water got close- about a foot away- and then he broke out. I was his accomplis. It was fun burying him.

Death was never a true threat. However pinched by little crabs was, so he didn't stay buried very long.

Thanks! Although, I didn't think so. I was a tad embarrassed, but I included the pic anyway. Humility is good for the soul.
I second Diane's comment.
What a great vacation. Minus the intestinal flu, of course.
Maybe we need to deepen our sandbox for our children when they misbehave--and let Brownie lick them until they promise to be good. Hmmmmm. . .
