I was commenting on a friend's blog, and it got me thinking...
We all have two sides to us- good and bad, up and down, sweet and awful, angry and tolerant, irrational and sane (although some more than others).
This is why when people ask me, "How are you?", I often don't know what to say. Do I tell them the positive or the negative since I'm often feeling both? I don't want to go around responding, "Oh I'm doing great and awful!" People will think I'm schizophrenic. (Maybe I am?)
One thing I do know, friends are those who see your imperfections, both sides of you, and like you anyway.

interesting to read...
I seem to remember something about "opposition in all things." I think we all know by experience that in this world it's never exclusively the one or the other. In my Dad's case, when people ask him how he's doing he responds cheerfully, "Terrible, how about yourself?" It always catches them off guard.
I think we all need a reminder now and then that the rest of us are human and are subject to mistakes. It's hard sometimes when we are always trying to "keep up with the Jones'" and do/have what they do.
Sekar-

Yes, I agree. I don't try to keep up with the Jones's, I just try to "keep moving forward". (Quote from "Meet the Robinsons"- excellent movie!)
"I’m not doing well, but I don’t want to talk about it now. Thank you for asking." This guy in my neighborhood would always ask that question to everyone he met. Most people automatically say "good" or "fine" when asked that question. He would reply with "Thats good to hear." One time I responded saying that I was bad, and as sure as the sun shines at night he responded with "Thats good to hear." :)
